Spring cleaning at Old Bisbee Roasters is complete and visitors will notice right away the new and improved look and feel of our roasting shop. Received 3/24/2007 The Ruvuma District is in the southernmost region of Tanzania where the country's western edge slopes down to meet Lake Nyasa. This Central African coffee has a good snap - Sweet and spicy with hints of warm cedar. A light caramel flavor is also detectable with an exceptionally clean smooth finish. Tanzanian coffee is typically shade grown. Mixed crops of bananas and native plants allow the growers to have less impact on the environment while creating a more productive landscape.

Nicaragua Cafe Lavado Dipilto

Nueva Segovia is in Northern Nicaragua, a mountainous area rich with pine forests, hot springs, waterfalls, and coffee. Fertile soils and high altitude growing has produced a smooth medium bodied coffee with mellow characteristics. Hints of fennel and cardamum begin a cup that finishes with a subtle, sweet toasted flavor.

A traditional Mandheling with the ever familiar dark blue/green markings while in raw bean form, this Sumatra has earned it's reputation to be called - "Classico"! This coffee is grown in the sweet black volcanic earth, producing a rich and buttery cup that amazes with it's powerful, unmistakably strong body. A "well-endowed" Indonesian, this is one of the largest beans we've handled in a long time!

Papua New Guinea Kimel Peaberry

From the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea, grown in the Wahgi River Valley. This Kimel offers a taste of caramel, cream, and rounded out with an undertone of a cappuccino flan flavor - an intriguing, hearty Indonesian Peaberry. You will find this coffee has tons of body with a touch of sweetness, heavy but finishes clean and smooth.

Poco Fundo Co-Op was founded in 1991. Now with over 70 small family farms, they are joined in unity with a desire improve their standard of living, by increasing productivity while still maintaining sustainability. In 2003 these farmers became certified as Fair Trade growers, and we are proud to offer up this micro lot grown in the Minas Gerais region of Southeast Brazil. The Poco Fundo is Certified Organically Grown. It's sharper and brighter than it's other Brazilian Brothers. This South American is a solid medium bodied bean, with subtle citrus notes and a smooth, velvety finish.
