Cool weather coffee

Cool weather coffee arrives!

Would you enjoy another pound of our "coffee of the year"?
Three wild beans, Yemen Mocca Sanani, Ethiopian Harar and Ethiopian Yirgacheffe create the sweetest, fruitiest African blend I've ever tasted. I saved the best for the holidays, however I don't think my 400 lb. stash will cover this years holiday orders, so I'm offering the rest of the Red Sea now as a pre-holiday special. Enjoy!

A good selection of African coffee has been delivered this week, including the well loved Horse Harar. a less known Horse Yirgacheffe and more of the Kenya Peaberry we all love.

As Central American coffee delivery for this year draws to a close, we have bought the very last available Guatemalan coffee from Los Volcanes in Antigua. Also available will be a small supply of Finca Huixoc from Huehuetanango. If you enjoyed the Mexican Peaberry, get your last orders in before it's gone, the season for this exciting coffee is drawing to a close.

I LOVE the Sumatra Gayoland, a sweet sharp semi-washed natural with a fruity cup. If there was ever a "Sumatra of special mention" I feel this one wins hands down. I'll book enough of this special lot for this winter's holiday coffee.

African Coffee:

Red Sea Blend
Received 9/19/2006
400 pounds Available this month,
this should last 2 weeks!
Blended by our Importers at Royal coffee, this is an extreemly sweet, fruity sharp Afican blend. Wine-like Ethiopian Harar, Mocha Yemen Sinani and Ethiopian Yergacheffe are combined in equal parts to create this coffee. Highly Recommended!

Natural Horse Harar
Received 9/19/2006
One of our original African favorites, This natural coffee is the original wild beans from Harar, Moka Horse Harar. sharp sweet lemon, light blueberry, bright and unusually sharp. Very light syrupy body, LOT'S of lemon. This coffee is so very citrus, it makes my mouth pucker!

Ethiopian Washed Horse Yirgacheffe
Received 9/19/2006
Just a touch earthy, Solid African coffee with a distinctive sweet and creamy Washed "European Prep". less sharp than Harar, still distinctivly wild in origin.

Kenya Peaberry
Received 9/19/2006
Thick, sweet African syrup. A small round bean, the Peaberry may be considered the most unusual coffee for it's shape as well as the touch of extra spice you will notice in your cup. Our latest Kenya has a Lemony body with a dark carmel, malted sugar "blackstrap Molasses" finish.

Central American Coffee:

Guatemalan Antigua Volcanes
Received 9/19/2006
Sweet Guatamalen coffee with a complex cup of flavors found only in the highest grown Central American coffee. Excellent dark cherry flavors, dark bittersweet chocolate and a touch of smoke. This is the best of this years Guatemalan, and we have this years heaviest, most complex cup. This is a thick, rich full bodied Central American coffee.

Costa Rica Monte Crisol
Received 9/19/2006
The last of this exceptional coffee was delivered to the shop. Sweet and sharp with a distinct Citrus "Snap" and a clean finish. It's a wonder we don't sell out of this coffee sooner - Have you noticed that there are no other Costa Rican coffees in my shop? It's been explained that there are simply no other Costa's this outstanding. I guess we're spoiled!

Indonesian Coffee:

Sumatra Gayoland Semi-Washed
Grower Certified Organic, Fair Trade
Received 9/19/2006
A great Sumatra need not be dark roasted to create an intense cup! This month's Sumatra thrills me with it's shocking snap of black earth and clean crisp finish. Earthy without muddiness, strong, sweet and sharp. I'm always looking for the extraordinary cup, and I'm very hard to please when cupping Sumatra. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of this coffee, truly an extraordinary experience.

I have been asked countless times to ship our handmade chocolates. As the temperatures continue to drop, the safe shipping date is drawing closer. We are already beginning to craft freshly roasted cacao bean into this years confections, and delivering samples to the local markets that retail our chocolates. We should see safe shipping temperatures within the month. Enjoy the cool fall nights!
