We Are Roasting Two Decaf Coffees!

Our first Ethiopian Harar has arrived, be sure to give this coffee a try. Sumatra coffees are flowing though the shop faster than I can stock them - this is a good thing! Do keep in mind that the shop is tiny and this delivery of coffee will not last three weeks!
Temperatures here in Bisbee are quickly rising, I will be crafting the last truffles for the season this week. Warm weather prevents the shipping of chocolates as well, so I'll be removing these hand crafted treats from the website later this month.

WE ARE ROASTING TWO DECAF COFFEES!
Another first in the shop: You may now order your choice of Decaf coffees. I have this years first delivery of our Ethiopian Harar Decaf, as well as the delicious new Tanzania Peaberry. Both coffees have the amazing quality you expect from Old Bisbee Roasters.

THIS WEEKS NEW COFFEES Received 2/28/2006
Ethiopian Horse Harar - New Harvest 2006
IN STOCK - 450lbs.
I have just roasted my first taste of Harar, a coffee we look forward to every year with great anticipation! The famous "Horse Harar" coffee is exceptionally sweet and fruity, with a pronounced syrup finish as you would expect from a truly great African coffee. My first impression: this is a "golden year" for Harar.
Sumatra Blue Mandheling -Grower Certified Organic
IN STOCK - 300 lbs.
A wonderful Sumatra, I taste a very satisfying balance between the earthy Sumatra coffee and the classic process of drying. This has created a coffee which is satisfyingly earthy and full bodied, while well rounded and slightly sweet, not overly musky.
Peruvian Cajamarca Estate - Grower Certified Organic
IN STOCK - 300 lbs.
A smooth mellow coffee, Medium in both body and roast. Peruvian coffees are the smoothest, "easy drinking" specialty coffees, well known and loved for consistent smooth body and fruity highlights.
Kenya Peaberry Rai (Meru)
IN STOCK - My last 300lbs.
Another fine Kenya, there is a distinctly citrus "snap" to this Peaberry. A distinctive syrup feel and caramel finish, with light lemon highlights that are reminiscent of a great Costa Rican. Beautiful!
Colombian Acevedo Huila Premium 16 Scr.
IN STOCK - 200 lbs.
Medium body with a soft sandy finish - this Colombian produces a mild to medium roast, clean and free of any unpleasantness - it's simply Colombian coffee at it's best. A good starter coffee for people new to the specialty coffee market.
Papua New Guinea Kimel X
IN STOCK - My last 300 lbs.
By far and away my favorite example of a modern processed Indonesian coffee. Of the three Indonesian beans in the shop, you will find the Kimel sweet, black, simple and shockingly Indonesian. A wonderful bright yet earthy coffee with no bitterness.
Timor Peaberry - Fair Trade Certified Organic
IN STOCK - My last 150 lbs.
Here's something new, a Peaberry from East Timor! Smokey and clean Indonesian coffee, this spicy little pea has the distinct flavor of "smoked Vanilla beans" This is a very unusual and exciting new coffee in the shop!
El Salvador - Grower Certified Organic
IN STOCK My last 300 lbs.
San Rafael Los Naranjos (the Piple Co-Operative) produces an earthy coffee with the unmistakable aroma of crushed black pepper that drives me wild over coffees from El Salvador. A fine example of what makes specialty coffees such a delight, this is a distinctly Central American classic.
Brazil Santos Mogiana
IN STOCK - 150 lbs.
Looking for a smooth coffee with a velvety finish? I have several customers who ask for Brazilian coffee in every order - While this coffee is used primarily in blending and lends it's smoothness to espresso, there's no denying that the unique character of Brazilian coffees are found in no other bean...

Tucson's famous 4th Ave. Street Fair is the third week of march, I'll be ordering new coffees just in time for the show. I expect to be moving out of our winter coffees and into some spring green by then. You can expect to see some Central American deliveries soon. Let's hope the Guatemalan coffees arrive early! (Huehuetanango, anyone?)
