New Latin American Coffee:

Panama Boquete from Casa Ruiz
Received 3/09/2007
Don't miss this wonderful coffee! Casa Ruiz Estate has produced a smooth, round, full bodied coffee with a medium finish that is the perfect example of a classic Central American coffee. Slightly dry, with an unmistakable essence of bittersweet chocolate and a smooth finish, this coffee is much less "forward" and snappy then the Guatemalan coffees, more like a high quality Colombian for it's simple, good nature.

BOLIVIA FT ORGANIC CENAPROC

Grower Certified Organic, Fair Trade
Received 3/09/2007
Our first Bolivian coffee! This coffee is in extremely short supply. Our Bolivian coffee is roasting up heavy and sharp, with a distinct liquorish cup. Here's your chance to try something rare and unusual.

El Salvador "Pulp Natural" Santa Isabel

Received 3/09/2007
Once again we have a small offering of the fabulous Salvador from Santa Isabel. This small lot of 70 bags was split evenly between natural coffees and water processed decaf. This gave us the opportunity to offer you both!

"Pulp Natural" describes the drying process, where the sweet fruit pulp is left to dry with the bean until the final milling takes place. This produces a sweet fruity cup unlike any other Central American - and NOTHING like any Salvidor coffee I've ever tasted. This is a bold, earthy and complex bean.
Now available in DECAF!

Guatemala Huehuetanango Asobagri Co-Op
Received 3/09/2007
Sweet Guatemalan Huehuetanango offers a complex cup of flavors found only in the highest grown Central American coffee. Bittersweet chocolate flavors with complex spice and a touch of smoke. Smooth and medium bodied, yet complex and spicy - when asked to recommend our most popular coffee, Guatemalan Huehuetenango is always number one on my list.

Peruvian Norte, Pronatur Co-Op
FT, Organic, Songbird
Received 3/09/2007
A classic Peruvian Fair Trade Organic coffee from the Pronatur Co-Op. This is a smooth, soft, medium bodied bean with the subtle essence of dark chocolate, roasted from exotic cacao. This is a clean and mellow coffee, simple and satisfying.
Now available in DECAF!

Colombian Supremo Huila Valencia
Received 3/09/2007
Sweet caramel balanced with a soft buttery finish. This Colombian is an outstanding medium bodied cup, clean and bright. Judged the best Colombian coffee at the hight of season by our importers, this Colombian exemplifies "specialty Coffee" from a country best known for commercial grade and quantity.
Now available in DECAF!

New African Coffee:

Tanzania Ruvuma AAA

Received 3/09/2007
Sweet African coffee with an intense bright lemon syrup finish. Much brighter than a Kenya, more lemony than a Costa Rican! Very light and intense. Completely amazing coffee, a stunning find.

Ethiopian Washed Horse Yirgacheffe
Received 3/09/2007
This month's import of African origin is a wild Black Horse Yirgacheffe, a small irregular bean with a good balance of sweet and syrup. This is a washed African, and produces a good cup of smooth soft crema.

New Indonesian Coffee:

Sumatra Blue Mandheling
Grower Certified Organic
Received 3/09/2007
Traditionally dried Indonesian with a lot of body and distinct Sumatra character. Unmistakably musky and earthy, this is the boldest of the bold. Why ask for "French Roast" when you can order up an amazing Sumatra like this?
Now available in DECAF!

Flores Bajawa
Received 3/09/2007
Flores is an island in the Indonesian archipelago, located between Java and Timor. The coffee is sweet, full bodied and Java-like. This coffee produces a black cup of sweet liquorice, very clean and thick and syrupy. I was informed this was an extremely rare opportunity, almost certainly a "one time buy" of this exotic rare coffee.

Timor Peabery Maubes FT Organic
Grower Certified Organic, Fair Trade
Received 3/09/2007
Beautiful Indonesian Timor Peaberry! An exciting new twist on a thick, smooth drink of mellow Indonesian coffee. Most interesting is the sweet butterscotch syrup finish of this Fair Trade Organic Peaberry from Maubes.

New Water Process Decaf:

El Salvidor Pulp Natural Decaf

Received 2/20/2007
Our latest example of an incredible new decaf experience!
We have received a small quantity of the incredible El Salvador Pulp Natural coffee, water processed in Veracruz Mexico. A stunning example of our new Royal Select Decaf program, we now serve this Salvador Pulp Natural coffee as regular coffee and decaf simultaneously.

Sumatra Natural Decaf
Received 2/20/2007
A traditionally dried, musky Sumatra, water processing "cleans up" the cup to deliver a unique Indonesian coffee that is shocking, heavy and unmistakably Indonesian in it's earthy body. Trying this new coffee is an absolute must for the discriminating Decaf Aficionado.

Peru La Florida Water Process Decaf
Received 2/20/2007
This is a smooth, soft, medium bodied Decaf with the classic mellow flavor of Peruvian coffee. This is a clean, simple and satisfying coffee with the perfect balance of sweetness and body.

We are serving this distinguished Decaf side-by-side with our new delivery of Peruvian Organic Norte. Enjoy the very best Peru coffee we have to offer this year, Decaf or regular - your choice!

Tanzania Washed Peaberry Decaf
Received 2/20/2007
Creamy washed African Peaberry from Tanzania has been a staple in our decaf catalog from the beginning. Finding just the right roast for this coffee bean puts a touch of cinnamon in the cup.
